Service Line Management:

The Next Generation

Understand how a service line strategy will fit in an era of increased risk and accountability.

During the past several years, service lines have become a permanent fixture in hospitals and healthcare systems; however, many organizations question how a service line strategy will fit in the future, given the health reform mandates of greater risk and accountability for quality, cost and access.

Should we continue to invest in service lines? If so, how do we adapt to the anticipated market changes? This interactive seminar will focus on the next generation of service lines, specifically on the need to evolve and allow service line leaders greater responsibility and authority to influence organizational change. Participants will delve into examples of service line models, including dyad or triad leadership and system structures, and gain a clear understanding of the evolving roles and responsibilities of service lines, their leaders and physicians, and the crucial skillsets needed to succeed.

  • Realize the strategic implications of service lines in reformed operating environment.
  • Understand the critical success factors impacting service lines goign forward.
  • Determine how reformed service line management can contribute to your organization’s value proposition.
